🔗 Share this article Discover Twenty-Nine Fresh Cards from Magic's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Set (Including a Commander Precon Deck!) Everyone's beloved pizza-eating heroes are coming to Magic: The Gathering. The well-known TCG's publisher, Wizards of the Coast, revealed a much-awaited Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration during a special panel held at NYCC. Is this a radical new set or simply another crossover marketing move? We'll let you be the judge. Take a look here at everything revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, along with key background. All items listed below launches on March 6, 2026, with one exception — a special Pizza Bundle arrives a few weeks later on March 27th. MTG x TMNT: Core Set Reveals Before diving into all the various special decks and collections on offer, we’ll examine at all the cards from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion unveiled by the developers. Standard booster packs for the set are priced at $6.99 each, while Collector Boosters should run $37.99 per booster. Let's unpack a few surprising features. To begin, a new gameplay mechanic called Sneak Attack, inspired by the pre-existing Ninjutsu, in which players can play powerful creatures onto the game field when an attacker goes unblocked. The big difference in this case is that this new ability can apply to non-creature spells as well. Wizards also used this chance to clean up the ability a bit (Sneak is treated as casting, unlike Ninjutsu). The original ability is staying, but it's more likely players will encounter Sneak in future sets from now on. “If we ever were to return to Kamigawa, it’s possible we’d use the original ability because that's where it was developed and it’s a hallmark to that,” a senior designer stated. “But on other planes, since the rules are cleaner and Sneak is what's going to be in standard, it’s probable we’ll use the updated version.” That second variant of Leonardo, Sewer Samurai, is one of four cards with special art designed exclusively for the set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles original artist Kevin Eastman. Additionally, should you be surprised by the card text on Turtles Forever card, which lets you play game cards that aren't in your main deck, so was I. But as per Wizards, it’s now a official card in all formats of Magic. Anyway, here are the highly unusual full-art lands from the TMNT set: Following the company’s existing guidelines, all these cards are all legal in Magic’s Standard format. Developers say they were careful to make sure the cards and mechanics worked smoothly with other Standard sets like Edge of Eternities. “I headed the design for 15 months and we knew it was going to be Standard-legal and what other sets were going to be near it in Standard,” the designer commented. “We designed to make sure that there's synergy with certain expansions like Edge of Eternities.” As an instance, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a blue-red strategy built around artifacts. “They mesh together to offer the components for a enjoyable Standard-legal deck,” the designer says. Commander Deck: Turtle Power! After declining to design any pre-constructed Commander decks for the Spider-Man set and the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, Wizards is changing direction with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time it’s just one precon, but it includes six different legendary cards who could work as your Commander based on how you pair them (five cards have a special Partner mechanic named “Character Select” that allows starting with two commanders in the command area instead of only one). Check them out below: The Turtle Power precon is set at $69.99, though the price may rise based on demand. Wizards indicated that it contains 43 brand-new cards altogether, which translates to an additional thirty-seven TMNT-themed game cards besides the six legendary creatures shown earlier. (Doing some rough math, that also means about 20 reprints if we assume the precon comes with 37 lands.) What will the TMNT version of the iconic Sol Ring appear? Fans must wait and see. Standard Bundle (Regular) As per usual, the company is offering a bundle. It is priced at $69.99 and includes the following: Nine Standard Boosters 15 Traditional foil basic lands Fifteen Non-foil basic lands 2 Reference cards 1 Foil promotional card 1 Oversized life tracker 1 storage box Pizza Bundle Here’s a unique concept for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, mostly in that it comes in a box resembling a pizza box. Every pizza-themed bundle is priced at $99.99 and comes with the items below: 9 Standard Boosters 1 Collector Booster 25 Non-foil pizza-themed lands Five Foil pizza-themed lands Two Traditional foil pizza bundle promo cards Two helper cards One Oversized life tracker 1 Card-storage box For those curious what a “pizza bundle promo” is, it’s basically a reprint of an older card with brand-new Turtle-themed artwork. The team showed one for the well-known Magic card Dark Ritual featuring art of master Splinter sprinkling black licorice pieces on a pizza. There are six different pizza promos in total. This special bundle releases a few weeks after the core set on March 27, 2026. Draft Bundle This special bundle is designed for a four-person draft and is priced at $119.99. It includes: 12 Play Boosters (the perfect amount four people to draft) One Collector Booster (aka, the reward for winning) Ninety Non-foil basic lands (to build your draft deck) 10 Regular double-sided tokens 1 Draft insert (a single-page instruction sheet to drafting the set) Cooperative Play Set Lastly, Wizards are introducing a new concept with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as in line with its continued initiative to develop Magic game products aimed at beginners. Here, the cooperative set is a unique product of prebuilt decks that allow two players team up against a “Boss” enemy deck that pilots itself. The general idea here that each Boss card gives unique powers to the creatures contained in the Boss deck. The Boss automatically casts an additional card per turn, and you’ll start off fighting {one Boss|
